Drone strike on Kyiv SBU building injures 12
A Russian drone struck the headquarters of Ukraine's Security Service in central Kyiv on September 4. Mayor Vitali Klitschko said 12 people were injured; nine were hospitalised and two were in serious condition. The fire was extinguished, but part of a floor and an exterior wall collapsed.
The daytime strike hit a central government building in the city centre and caused multiple hospitalisations.
The medical outcomes of the nine people hospitalised and the final structural assessment were not confirmed by 18:30. Reuters' seven and AP's nine injured were earlier versions.
Drone strikes on Kherson minibus and car kill one and injure 12
Russian drones struck a route minibus and a passenger car in central Kherson on September 4. Regional and city authorities said the attacks killed one man and injured 12 people in total. Authorities revised the casualty count several times during the day.
The strike caused a death and multiple injuries on public transport.
The medical outcomes of the injured were not confirmed by 18:30. The total of 12 covers the minibus and passenger-car strikes; people injured elsewhere in Kherson and the wider region during the day are not included.
Odesa strikes kill one and injure seven; 28,000 families without power
A Russian morning strike on Odesa and the surrounding region killed one person and injured five, including a child. Homes and the power grid were damaged, and DTEK said 28,000 families were without electricity. Later, two people were injured in a double strike on food and industrial-goods warehouses. The emergency service said seven lorries and one minibus caught fire.
The day's strikes caused casualties and damaged homes, the power grid, commercial storage and transport equipment.
Medical outcomes, inventory losses, delivery effects and the power-restoration timetable were not confirmed by 18:30. Part of the grid repair work related to the September 2 strike.
Drone attack sets Sochi oil depot on fire and disrupts airport
The Krasnodar regional operational headquarters confirmed that an oil depot caught fire during a drone attack on Sochi and Sirius on September 4. Meduza reported that airport operations were restricted for more than 11 hours, over 100 flights were delayed or cancelled and aircraft refuelling was restricted. The regional governor warned that the fire could also complicate fuel supplies at Sochi filling stations.
The attack affected oil storage, airport operations and air traffic, and created a risk to the city's fuel distribution.
The oil depot's owner and the extent of damage were not confirmed. Reports of a second oil depot and a strike on an S-300 or S-400 air-defence site have not been confirmed by authorities or other independent evidence. The Russian Defence Ministry's figure of 490 drones is a party claim.
