Sumy regional authorities said a drone strike on a home in the Romny community killed a 66-year-old woman and four people sought medical help for acute stress. In Kharkiv, a drone hit an Epicentr hypermarket, killing a man, wounding two people and causing acute stress reactions in three others. Four people were injured in Kyiv as the attack continued into the morning; two were hospitalised and a damaged school will not reopen on 1 September.

All remaining generating equipment at Kherson CHP destroyed
Naftogaz said Russian forces struck Kherson CHP for a second time overnight with four glide bombs. All heat- and power-generating equipment remaining at the plant was destroyed and rendered inoperable. The plant supplies heat to a significant proportion of Kherson's residential buildings.
The update turns the morning report's serious damage into the loss of all generating equipment that remained at the plant.
Replacement heating arrangements, repair timing and the exact number of affected customers had not been announced by 18:30.
Strikes destroy Roshen and Budynok Igrashok warehouses and delay rail traffic
Company statements said the Russian attack destroyed a Roshen warehouse in Chubynske and the Budynok Igrashok distribution centre in Kyiv region. A drone hit Comfy’s distribution centre and a warehouse used by Fora was damaged. No employee injuries were reported. Roshen and Budynok Igrashok warned of possible delivery delays. Ukrainian Railways said more than 90 trains were delayed during the day; its 17:17 update showed the longest remaining delay at 8 hours 20 minutes.
The same attack damaged distribution for several businesses and caused widespread disruption to national rail traffic.
